PERRYVILLE -- Francis J. "Jerry" Tucker, 70, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1923, at Silver Lake, son of Hubert and Florence Geile Tucker. He and Delphia L. Mangels were married July 3, 1948.
Tucker was a retired pipefitter with McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of American Legion Post 133, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry and John Tucker of St. Louis; two daughters, Linda Tucker of Perryville, Sheila Young of St. Louis; two brothers, Donald and Robert Tucker of St. Louis; three sisters, Anna Glines of Toledo, Ohio, Patricia Naive and Diane Tucker of St. Louis; stepmother, Rose Tucker; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Church at Silver Lake. The Rev. Charles Rice will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. Thursday, and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m., and American Legion wake at 7:30 on Thursday.
