Francis J. Himmelsbach, 82, 223 Hillview, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 28, 1915, at Chaffee, son of Joseph A. and Bertha Seyer Himmelsbach. He and Lorena Compas were married Oct. 18, 1941, at Chaffee.
Himmelsbach retired from Atlas Plastics in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Himmelsbach of Morristown, Tenn.; a daughter, Dolores LeGrand of Florissant; four sisters, Josephine Messmer of Scott City, Virginia Compas of South Bend, Ind., Lorene Kimman of Mineral Wells, Texas, Rosemary Sander of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
