Frances Evelyn Simpher, 82, of Delta died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 3, 1923, at Chaffee, Mo., daughter of Otto B. and Maude Ina Dowdy Golightly. She and Delbert Lewis were married in October 1941. He preceded her in death. She and Charles Howell were married March 12, 1950. He preceded her in death. She then married Ed Simpher, who also preceded her in death.
Simpher retired as a nurse technician from Chaffee General Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Lewis of Waynesville, Mo., Ed Lewis of Chaffee; two daughters, Karen Cline and Donna Richmond of Noble, Okla.; a brother, Hank Golightly of Chaffee; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
