NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Frances "Francy" Cecelia Scheeter, 90, of New Hamburg passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Southeast Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 20, 1928, in St. Joseph, Tennessee, to the late Frank and Monica Reischmann Kluesner. She married Ervin "Webb" Scheeter on June 30, 1951, and he preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2014.
Frances was a retired cook for the Kelso C-7 school in New Hamburg and also worked as a florist for Paradise Express in Scott City.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and belonged to St. Anne's Sodality. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who adored her. They had many card games, laughing uncontrollably. Francy was an expert quilter, seamstress, baker and selfless contributor to many needy causes. Her gentle, kind spirit will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Tony) Dalton of Trophy Club, Texas, and Janice (Mel) Williams of Plano, Texas; a brother, A.J. Kluesner of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Willie Scheeter of Chaffee, Missouri, Flora Brucker of New Hamburg, Clairene Priest of Gordonville and Diane Lovell of Anna, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Brett Williams, Devin Dalton and Grant Williams.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda; eight brothers; and a sister.
Friends and family may call from 9 a.m. until the rosary at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg.
Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Bala Swamy Govindu as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Hamburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
