MOUNDS, Ill. -- Frances L. Axley, 86, of Mounds, died Friday, Dec. 23, 1994 at her home. She was born Aug. 11, 1908, at Cobden, Ill., daughter of Hosea Hicks and Della Hipps Hicks. She married Will S. Axley. He preceded her in death in 1966. She is survived by three sons, William Axley, Wickliffe, Ky., Raymond Axley and Charles Axley, both of Mounds; two daughters, Barbara Axley and Joan Axley, both of Mounds; and a sister, Katherine Marcha of Gilbertsville, Ky...

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Frances L. Axley, 86, of Mounds, died Friday, Dec. 23, 1994 at her home.

She was born Aug. 11, 1908, at Cobden, Ill., daughter of Hosea Hicks and Della Hipps Hicks.

She married Will S. Axley. He preceded her in death in 1966.

She is survived by three sons, William Axley, Wickliffe, Ky., Raymond Axley and Charles Axley, both of Mounds; two daughters, Barbara Axley and Joan Axley, both of Mounds; and a sister, Katherine Marcha of Gilbertsville, Ky.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
