Frances A. Hutchings, 85, of Jackson passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Fredericktown, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Ethel Frye Dollinger. She and Robert B. Hutchings were married April 29, 1945, in Fredericktown. He passed away July 22, 1992.
Frances was a seamstress for the Brown Shoe Co. in Fredericktown for 11 years. She was an avid reader, loved to work jigsaw puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Nancy Hutchings of Jackson; two sons, Robert "Bob" (Pat) Hutchings of Jackson and Harold Hutchings of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
