Frances E. Hentges, 69, of Sibley, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at her home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Wednesday at the Church of the Santa Fe in Buckner, Mo., with cremation to follow. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Mo., followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m...

Frances E. Hentges, 69, of Sibley, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at her home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Wednesday at the Church of the Santa Fe in Buckner, Mo., with cremation to follow.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Mo., followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Southern Care Hospice.

Frances was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Louis and Nadine Schanuth Schwartze.

She was a cook a number of years at Kross Lounge in Sugar Creek, Mo., and most recently as a counter with Ameristar Casino.

She enjoyed fishing, cooking and working outdoors. She was a member of the Church of Santa Fe.

She and Fred Hentges were married June 4, 1960.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Mike Hentges of Kansas City North, Mo.; two sisters, Armetta Hickman of Jefferson City, Jen Sievers of Jackson; four grandchildren, Don Sherman, Mikayla Hentges, Nikk Padget, Mindi King; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Alex King.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda K. Sherman in 1987, and two brothers, George and Cletus Schwartze.
