SIKESTON, Mo. -- Frances Elizabeth Heckemeyer, 91, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born Nov. 7, 1913, in Tuckerman, Ark., daughter of Anthony Joseph and Bessie Baughman Goetz. She and Paul Quentin Heckemeyer were married May 31, 1935, in St. Louis. He died June 23, 1991.
Heckemeyer grew up in St. Louis and was a graduate of Webster High School and attended Washington University.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sikeston Women's Club, was active in Sikeston Little Theater, sang in the Sikeston Community Choir, and had been a Boy Scout den mother and Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include a son, Tony Heckemeyer of Sikeston; three daughters, Vicky Lindsey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Penny Terrell and Anne Marshall of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating.
