CHARLESTON -- Frances Louise Harris Evans, 70, of Charleston died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 25, 1928, at Lusk Chapel, near Charleston, daughter of Estel M. and Florence K. Haley Harris. She and Frank Evans Jr. were married on April 21, 1948.
She was a retired saleswoman who worked at Friedman's and Widgor's clothing stores in Charleston.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wyatt.
Survivors include her husband; a brother, Junior E. Harris of Charleston; and a sister, Mrs. Dewey "Nina Harris" Heppe of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. LeRoy Thornton will officiate, with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
