Frances Marie England, 86, of Oak Ridge stepped through the gates of heaven and into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She passed peacefully at her home, with family at her side.
She was born March 30, 1936, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Elmer and Aletha Hardaway. Frances was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Frances had been an active member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years.
She leaves many cherished memories, including crocheting, which she shared with her family.
Frances leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years, Donald; three sons, Robert, Bryan and Jeff; nine grandchildren. Katherine, Caleb, Krystal, Scott, Elizabeth, Ronald, Katie, Dawn and Natalie; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and David; two brothers, Harvey and Elmer; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Frances will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
