CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Ford Frick, 86, died Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County. CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Ford Frick, 86, died Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County.

He was born July 9, 1913, in Jonesboro, son of Sidney Walter and Mary Jane Ussery Frick.

Frick worked for the city of Carbondale many years. He was a member of Boskydell Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ford and Ronald Frick of Murphysboro; two daughters, Joyce Braswell of Carbondale, Mary Jane Thompson of Makanda; a stepdaughter, Sue Ann McCoy of Murphysboro; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
