PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Floyd F. "Booger" Weinrich, 93, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 14, 1918, in Perryville, son of Ludwig and Hulda Fluegel Weinrich. He married Pearl Ruch, who preceded him in death. He and Beatrice Sugg were married July 5, 1975. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 1988...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Floyd F. "Booger" Weinrich, 93, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 14, 1918, in Perryville, son of Ludwig and Hulda Fluegel Weinrich. He married Pearl Ruch, who preceded him in death. He and Beatrice Sugg were married July 5, 1975. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 1988.

Weinrich had worked for Monsanto Chemical. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, charter and life member of VFW Post 4282, life member of American Legion Post 133, and member of AMVETS Post 94.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Vicky Sue Curtis of Belleville, Ill.; a son, Kevin F. (Leslie) Weinrich of Austin, Texas; a stepson, Gary Tate of Millington, Tenn.; five grandsons; a great-granddaughter; three stepgranddaughters; and three great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Wayne Bromley.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The VFW wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 4282 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Immanuel Lutheran School.
