MARBLE HILL -- Floyd Wilson Runnels, 73, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 17, 1921, in Marble Hill, son of Norman Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Fox Runnels. He and Margie M. Hurst were married April 20, 1951.
Runnels served on the Marble Hill City Council 22 years. He was a member of Trowell Lodge 440, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, amd Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church where he taugh Sunday School more than 30 years, was Sunday School superintendent, and served on the church board.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jeanie Eddleman of Marble Hill; three brothers, Milford Runnels of Jonesboro, Ark., Tom Runnels of Marble Hill, Don Runnels of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Margie Liley of Marble Hill, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Shearon officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
