Floyd Vernon Phillips, 89, of Peoria, Ill., died Tuesday, March 9, 1993, at Methodist Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1903, at Delta, Ill., son of Thomas and Lydia Dollman Phillips. He and Emaline Taylor were married Oct. 12, 1929.
Phillips was a retired farmer, and member of Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria. He was a former member of Lynwood Baptist Church here.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Vernon Phillips of Lawton, Okla.; two daughters, Jean Stark of Peoria, Mary Crowe of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Blanche Jones of Villa Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Revs. Raymond Oxford and James Donahue will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
