He was born July 27, 1938, in St. Francois County, son of Otis and Frances Miller Hoff. He married Marietta Snead.

Survivors include his wife of Leadwood, Mo.; a son, Floyd "Bubba" Hoff of Park Hills; two daughters, Tawana Wren of Jackson, Mo., Tamara Eaton of Leadwood; two brothers, Charles Hoff of Irondale, Mo., Mike Hoff of Farmington, Mo.; five sisters, Bernice Callahan, Janet Skaggs and Louise Welker, all of Wortham, Mo., Charlotte Eaton of Park Hills, Juanita Colvin of Jefferson City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
