THEBES, Ill. -- Floyd H. Parmer, 78, of Thebes died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 13, 1915, at Thebes, the son of Willis and Della Troute Parmer. On Jan. 22, 1938, he married Wanda Prather in Jackson. She survives of the home.
He worked for Trojan Powder Company in Wolf Lake, Ill., before his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Baptist denomination and a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy.
Other survivors include a son, Ronnie Parmer of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Ina Sue Lesar and Deloris Clubb, both of Thebes; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Curtis Alderson will officiate, and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
