GORDONVILLE -- Funeral service for Floyd E. "Bud" Whittaker, Gordonville Route 3, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Whittaker, 64, died Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ruben and Lucy Reynolds Whittaker. He and Evelyn June Thomas were married March 28, 1946. She died Dec. 11, 1965. He married Cleo Nance Sept. 16, 1967, who died Oct. 25, 1988. He and Lee DeLaney were married in October 1990, in Cape Girardeau.
Whittaker had worked for John Meyer Telephone Construction Co. 30 years, and had also been self-employed in telephone construction. He was a member of a Masonic lodge and Shrine club.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nina Jaco and Paula Goza of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Grah of Jackson; a brother, Richard Whittaker of Zion, Ill.; six sisters, Wilma Masters of Ballwin, Maxine Swanner of Jonesboro, Ark., Doris Berry of Oak Ridge, Ruth Popp, Peggy Dubrey and Antoinette "Toni" McLain of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
