CAIRO, Ill. -- Flossie E. Helms, 79, of Cairo died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at Jonesboro Health Care.
She was born Jan. 14, 1919, daughter of William and Lela Lentz Glenn in Pulaski County.
Her husband, Kenneth Helms, died in 1980.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two sons, Everett and Harry Helms, both of Cairo; four daughters, Carolyn Cline of Chatsworth, Julie Suitor of Mayfield, Ky., Dorothy Rice of Mounds and Mary Lambert of Cairo; two brothers, the Rev. Clarence Glenn of East Cape Girardeau and Virgil Glenn of Villa Ridge; a sister, Nellie Doom of Portland, Ore.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clarence Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.
