Florence Seibert

Florence K. Seibert, 103, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Florence was born Aug. 29, 1919, the eldest of five daughters, to John R. and Elizabeth K. Ellermeyer in Washington County, Illinois.

She graduated from Ashley (Illinois) High School in 1939 and went on to graduate from Brown's Business College in St. Louis.

Florence married Charles F. Seibert on June 2, 1945, in DuBois, Illinois. She was a farmer's wife and a homemaker in her early adult life and later a secretary at Washington County Farm Bureau office in Nashville, Illinois.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Sterling) Robinson; grandchildren, Gregory (Ellen) Robinson and Sheryl Renee (Jason) Reich; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary and Madelynne Robinson and Benjamin Reich. She is also survived by her sister, Ernestine Fischer, and nine nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Christopher Robinson; three sisters and four brothers-in-law, Emma (Walter) Kramm, Laverne (Walter) Fischer, Dorothy (Curtis) White and Frederick Fischer; a sister-in-law, Helen (John) Kreger; and two nephews, Clarence Kreger and Roger Kramm.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, with funeral following at 11 a.m., with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Burial will be at Tamaroa Cemetery immediately following.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark's United Church of Christ Church in DuBois, or to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Church in Nashville, and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

The family expresses its gratitude and appreciation to all of the health care professionals, as well as the staff, at Fountainbleau Lodge for their loving care of Florence for the last several years. The family also thanks all those who sent cards and prayers to brighten her day, as they were all appreciated by Florence.
