MORLEY, Mo. — Florence Elizabeth Morris, 83, of Morley died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born May 5, 1939, in Iuka, Illinois, to Everett and Lenore Wooly Bumgarner. She and Robert Ray Morris were married May 10, 1970.

She worked at Walmart in the bakery for several years. She also cooked in many restaurants in the Cape Girardeau area.

Florence enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include three sons, Robin (fiance, Shelly Williams) Morris and Donald (Kelly) Nauert, both of Morley, and John Nauert of Walnut Hill, Illinois; daughter, Gwendolyn Sue (Grover) Baker of Altenburg, Missouri; brother, Clarence Bumgarner of Salem, Illinois; two sisters, Utha Henson of Tennessee and Helen Easley of Knoxville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jamie, Jennifer and Robert Nauert, Brittany Williams and Bethany and Cassandra Morris; and eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Robert Grant, Grace, Rayn and Marley Nauert, Cheyenne and Charles Hayden and Blake Poso.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Ammon officiating. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Mounds City National Cemetery in Mounds City, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
