FLORENCE GRACE WALKER

CHAFFEE -- Florence Grace Walker, 89, of Chaffee died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 2, 1903, at Bertrand, the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Slinkard Grayam. On Nov. 1, 1919, she married Robert Roy Walker of Chaffee, who preceded her in death July 3, 1948.

On June 1, 1974, she moved from Flint, Mich. to Chaffee, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph Walker of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Charles Walker of Chugiak, Ala.; two daughters, Katherine Dodge of Cape Girardeau and Laura Andrews of Chaffee; a sister, Bertha Sitz of Dexter; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and two sisters.

There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Charley Shrum officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
