Florence Naomi Adams, 89, of St. Louis, formerly of Scott City, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1924, in Leadwood, Mo., to John and Hazel French Surina Sr. She and Thomas Bradley were married Dec. 26, 1942. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1953. She later married Vernon Adams on June 13, 1955. He preceded her in death Sept. 18, 1972.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Bradley of Jackson, Gordon Bradley Sr. of Scott City, Mark Adams of St. Louis and John Adams of Scott City; four daughters, Janet Roney of Scott City, Terry Cline of Lemay, Mo., Serena Dover of Springfield, Mo., and Becky Frey of Jackson; two sisters, Faye Highley and Melba Passafume of Leadwood; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ross "Corky" Adams; a great-grandson, B.J. Bradley; two brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
