FLORANCE CROWELL

COBDEN, Ill. -- Florance "Jenny" Crowell, 74, of Cobden died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 6, 1922, at Jackson, daughter of Frederick and Martha Jordan Obermiller. She and Thomas William Crowell were married July 9, 1939, at Benton.

Crowell was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Martha Rhodes, Mary Crowell and Mildred Quertermous, all of Cobden; two brothers, Jesse Obermiller of Jackson, Robert Obermiller of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mary Taylor of Michigan, Marie Crowell of Elkville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and half brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
