FLORA V. SIMS

BERTRAND -- Flora Victoria Sims, 89, of Bertrand, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1993, at Bertrand Retirement Facility.

She was born Dec. 21, 1904, in Stone County, Ark., daughter of Jack and Sylvania Ledford Pruitt. She and James Robert Sims were married in 1923. He died July 14, 1986.

Sims had lived in Mississippi County since 1963, and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Charleston.

Survivors include a son, James Sims of Charleston; a daughter, Rose Morris of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Edna Greenstreet of Melbourne, Ark., Verna Sims of Trumann, Ark.; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
