Flora May Gobble, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 16, 1992, at Cape LaCroix Manor.
She was born June 17, 1901, at Zalma, the daughter of James and Josephine Beatty Gobble.
She moved from Kennett to Cape Girardeau in 1926 and began working for International Shoe Co., where she was a fancy tip stitcher. She retired after 50 years of work with the company, then worked for five years at The Country Store in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the West Side Church of God, and the West Side Church of God Ladies.
Survivors include two sisters, Mamie Lemonds and Alma Shirrell Fisher, both of Cape Girardeau. A brother and sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, where funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jerry Webb will officiate, and burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
