ZALMA -- Flora Jane Gilliland, 92, of Zalma, died Saturday, July 11, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 8, 1899 in McGee, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Fox Stilts. She married Jasper Gilliland on June 25, 1925 at Zalma. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1978...

ZALMA -- Flora Jane Gilliland, 92, of Zalma, died Saturday, July 11, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 8, 1899 in McGee, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Fox Stilts.

She married Jasper Gilliland on June 25, 1925 at Zalma. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1978.

She was a member of the Lowndes Methodist Church.

Other survivors are three sons, Hubert Gilliland, Puxico, Lamar Gilliland, Fredericktown, and Charles Gilliland, Gipsy; two daughters, Mary James, Farmington, and Diane Gibbons, Pearland, Texas; one sister, Mildred Stilts, Gipsy; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call today from 4-9 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy.
