SIKESTON -- Flora M. Fugate, 86, of Miner, formerly of Sikeston, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at the Miner Nursing Center.
She was born April 24, 1909, in Datto, Ark., daughter of Arthur Alvin Cole and Margaret Foster Malone Cole.
She was a member of the Miner Baptist Church.
She married Orbie Lawrence Fugate in Clay County, Ark., Aug. 12, 1933. He died Oct. 9, 1952.
Survivors include three sons, Lawrence A. "Bud" Fugate of Sikeston, Orbie Paul Fugate of Wappapello, and Danny Ray Fugate of Kansas City; four daughters, Janetta Groves of Pikeville, Tenn., Jane Skinner Evans of Sikeston, Margaret Ann Patton of Houston, Texas, and Donna Kaye Franey of Ballwin; a brother, Alvin Cole of Corning, Ark.; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Service will be at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Ron Shrum of Portageville officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
