Flora Etzold

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Flora A. Etzold, 91, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 11, 1910, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Henry and Martha Cornehlsen Wichern. She first married John Norrington. She later married Alfred Etzold, who died May 3, 1978.

Etzold had worked at International Shoe Co., and then was a nurse aide at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and former member of its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Vivian Cobble of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sons, Delbert Norrington of Charleston, S.C., Noel Norrington of Potosi, Mo.; three brothers, Ruben Wichern of Perryville, Wilbert Wichern of Old Appleton, Mo., Melvin Wichern of Thompson, Mo.; two sisters, Amanda Lacey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Alma Wichern of Perryville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
