EAST PRAIRIE -- Fleta Jo Johnson, 47, of East Prairie died Saturday, Jan. 20, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 17, 1948, at Wyatt to Luther and Dell Swinney Brown. She married the Rev. Amos Johnson on June 4, 1977, at Sikeston.

A lifelong resident of Mississippi County, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church in East Prairie, where she was a Sunday school teacher and her husband is pastor. For the last seven years she was administrator of Midwest Christian Academy in East Prairie.

Survivors are her husband; five sons, Warren D. Cobb of Las Vegas, and Danny Cobb, Steve Johnson, Joey Johnson and Allen Pretz, all of East Prairie; seven daughters, Debbie Dickson of Rochelle, Ill., Rhonda Phillips of Morgantown, Ky., and Jill Lawrence, Natasha Lawrence, Tara Pretz, Leah Pretz and Karla Pretz, all of East Prairie; a brother, Calvin Brown of Benton; six sisters, Imogene Gulley of DeKalb, Ill., Lezona Morehead and Suetta Brown, both of Charleston, Mary Lieving of Orlando, Fla., Shirley Montavon of Sycamore, Ill., and Colleen Johnson of Malta, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Revs. John Bliss and Jerry Hickson and Dr. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
