Finis Newton Drummond, 78, of Union City, Tenn., and formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
He was born June 9, 1922, in Drummonds, Tenn., the son of Guy and Lillian Inez Grimes Drummond.
He was a retired carpenter, a Catholic, a member of the Teamsters Union and a veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a daughter, Katharine Drummond McClain of Union Cit; two brothers, George Drummond of Bishop, Calif., and John Drummond of Folsom, Calif.; and a stepgrandchild.
His parents, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Friday at the White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, with Brother Larry Smith officiating.
