MOUNDS, Ill. -- Fern Marie Taylor, 85, of Mounds, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992, at her home.
She was born Oct. 22, 1906, at Mt. Pleasant, Mich., daughter of Leslie and Jennie Graham McNeill. She married J. Curtis Taylor, who died in 1968. He was a former mayor of Mounds.
The Taylors owned and operated Taylor Lumber Co. here. She attended Mounds Methodist Church, was a past board member of Mounds Public Library, and past president of the 25th District of Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs.
Survivors include three sons, Jack Taylor of Avondale, La., Leslie M. and Donald Taylor of Mounds; two brothers, Bill McNeill of Pontiac, Mich., Herb McNeill of Alma, Mich.; three sisters, Winifred Eberhardt of Escondido, Calif., Betty Thompson of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Romona Williams of Midland, Mich.; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Mounds. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
