Fern Janet Lewis, 88, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 5, 1927, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, to Emil and Hertha Wall Schuschke. She and Taylor Warpole were married March 2, 1963, in Las Vegas; he passed away March 13, 2006. Fern Janet Lewis, 88, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 5, 1927, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, to Emil and Hertha Wall Schuschke. She and Taylor Warpole were married March 2, 1963, in Las Vegas; he passed away March 13, 2006. On March 3, 2007, she married Ed Lewis at Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Lewis of Jackson; a daughter, Sandra Finney of St. Peters, Missouri; two stepsons, Mike Lewis and Scott Lewis of St. Louis; three brothers, Larry Schuschke of Havre, Montana, Arthur Schuschke of Fertile, Minnesota, and Dennis Schuschke of Fargo, North Dakota; three grandchildren, Merrily, Jason and Mickelle; and seven great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Jack, Clay, Sam, Amelia, Audrey and Westley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson.
