Ferdinand M. "Fred" Steimle, 90, 3217 Kage Hills Drive, died Wednesday, June 26, 1991, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1901, in Cape Girardeau, son of Frank C. and Sophie Schaefer Steimle. He and Mary Dell Beasley were married Aug. 14, 1919, in Cape Girardeau.
Steimle was a salesman, and had been associated with Hirsch Brothers Grocery, Fred Braun's Grocery, Siebert's Shoe Store, Ueleke Hardware, and worked in the men's department at Buckner-Ragsdale Co.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and Del Brunton of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Elizabeth Steimle of Cape Girardeau; three granddaughters, Judith Carter and Jill Brunton of Kansas City, Janet Ruopp of Cape Girardeau; two great-grandchildren, Jodianne Carter and Brenton Ruopp.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
