F.D. "Bud" Shoulders, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born July 2, 1912, in Blodgett, Mo., son of William R. and Kate Withrow Shoulders. He and Dorothy Ticer were married June 9, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.
Shoulders was a member of Scriptural Lutheran Church. He had worked at International Shoe 16 years, R.B. Potashnick 15 years and retired from Cape LaCroix Manor after working there 17 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger Shoulders of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Brenda Landers of St. Louis; a brother, William Shoulders of Dallas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Gieschen officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
