ORAN -- Faye Phillips, 64, of Oran died Friday, July 24, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1934, at Sikeston, daughter of Earl and Mildred Matilda Litchford Masterson. She was married to Wayne Wilson "Scrappy" Phillips on March 28, 1953.

She worked as the social services director for the Lutheran Home for years.

She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, St. Ann's Sodality and D.C.C.W. In 1981, she was the D.C.C.W. 1981 Regional Woman of the Year.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald Wayne Phillips of Oran; two daughters, Gail Ann Nenninger of Florissant and Lisa Marie Phillips of Oran; a sister, Margaret Kasting of Wappapello; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran beginning at 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. The Rev. Lewis Hejna will officiate, with burial in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
