FAYE MICHELSEN

ORAN, Mo. -- Faye E. Michelsen, 87, of Oran died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born April 28, 1914, at Lamar, Ark., daughter of W.O. and Erna Boley Bacchus. She and Charlie E. Michelsen were married Sept. 26, 1930. He died May 16, 1952.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran. She had worked as a machine operator with International Hat Co. in Oran until her retirement in 1976.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd E. Michelsen and C. Don Michelsen, both of Oran; five daughters, Velma Thompson of St. Louis, Mari Matthews and Bonnie Dover of Cape Girardeau, Betty Thele of Arnold, Mo., and Sharon London of Dupo, Ill.; a brother, Leon Bacchus of Michigan; three sisters, Ellowee Curtis of Denver, Colo., Imogene Belling of St. Louis, and Nadine Phillips of Oran; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

A brother and a grandson preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Oran. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Mo.
