COBDEN, Ill. -- Faye Ballance, 72, of Cobden died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.
She was born April 13, 1928, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of J. Everett and Clyde Messamore Lamer. She and Donald Ballance were married Dec. 8, 1950, in Murphysboro, Ill.
Ballance was employed 27 years at First National Bank in Cobden, retiring as cashier and vice president in 1972. She was a member, elder and clerk of The Session at First Presbyterian Church and was a past president and treasurer of Presbyterian Women's Group.
Survivors include her husband and a sister, Anna "Neicey" Forby of Cobden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church. The Revs. Richard Ryman, Joseph Van Roekel and Clifford Heil will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
