CHARLESTON -- Fay E. Bradbury, 78, of Charleston, formerly of Cairo, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. CHARLESTON -- Fay E. Bradbury, 78, of Charleston, formerly of Cairo, Ill., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 21, 1915, at Coxville, Ind., daughter of Jess and Essie Lowe Bradbury.

He married Roseland J. Bradbury. She died in 1993.

Bradbury was a veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Community Chapel Church in Urbandale, Ill. He was also a member of the Alexander County Senior Citizens Center and the Masonic Lodge #19 in Terre Haute, Ind., where he once served as Royal Arch Mason.

Bradbury worked for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Joe Farmer of Villa Ridge, Ill., Robert Earl Bradbury of Charleston, Mo.; two daughters, Linda O'Guin of Charleston, Carolyn Dickerson of Troy, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, Ill. Masonic rites will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with the Rev. Vester Keesee officiating.

Burial will follow in the Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
