Fannie White

Fannie H. White, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 2, 1926, in Carthage, Mo., daughter of Clayton and Georgia Janney Hill. She and Edwin White were married June 12, 1947, in Springfield, Mo.

She was a graduate of Excelsior Springs, Mo., high school and the University of Missouri. where she received a degree in nutrition. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon.

She was employed by Delouri Farms Inc. as treasurer.

Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; sons Dean (Lisa) White and William Andrew White, both of Cape Girardeau; daughters Katie (Tom) Hamm of Phoenix and Leigh (Ed) Marks of Gulf Shores, Ala.; a brother, Clayton Hill of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Kochan of Jackson, Mich., and Christie Russell of Paris, Ill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Paul Kabo officiating.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Memphis, Tenn. Memorial contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church, National Parkinsons Foundation or Chateau Girardeau Foundation.
