E.W. "Bill" Geiser, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Southeast Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, to Emanuel "Butch" and Anita Freeman Geiser. E.W. "Bill" Geiser, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, to Emanuel "Butch" and Anita Freeman Geiser. He was a 1952 graduate of Central High School.
Bill was a 47-year-member of Elks 639, Eagles Aerie 3775, the National Rifle Association, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had worked as a conductor on the railroad.
Survivors include two sons, William Ray Geiser and wife Nancy of Dutchtown, Jody Geiser and wife Christa of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kim L. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
