E.W. "Bill" Geiser, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, to Emanuel "Butch" and Anita Freeman Geiser. He was a 1952 graduate of Central High School.
Bill was a 47-year-member of Elks 639, Eagles Aerie 3775, the National Rifle Association, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had worked as a conductor on the railroad.
Survivors include two sons, William Ray Geiser and wife Nancy of Dutchtown, Jody Geiser and wife Christa of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kim L. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
