Everett James Scharenborg, 86, of Jackson died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his home.
He was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Leopold, Missouri, to John George and Frances VanGennip Scharenborg.Everett and Bernice Carroll were married July 10, 1956, at Jackson.
Everett owned and operated Everett's Printing Service in Jackson for many years, retiring in 2002.
He served in the United States Air Force for 11 years.
He was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and Excelsior Lodge 441 A.F. & A.M., both of Jackson; West View Lodge 103 of
Millersville; Scottish Rite of St. Louis; Shriner's Clown; Master eight times; and Shriner of the Year.
He is survived by his wife of Jackson; a son, Stephen (Kathleen) Scharenborg of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Sherry Scharenborg of River Head, Long Island, New York and Kimberly (Bob) Bonney of Jackson; two brothers, John (Kathryn) Scharenborg and Joseph Scharenborg, both of Jackson; two sisters, Frances Scharenborg of Jackson and Mary Helen Schulman of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Eleanor; and three brothers, Jerome, Wilfred and Martin Scharenborg.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Jim Woeltje officiating.
