COBDEN, Ill. -- Everett Rollie "Diz" King, 87, of Linton, Ind., formerly of Cobden and Anna, Ill., died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Linton Nursing and Rehab center.
He was born March 21, 1917, in Pomona, Ill., son of Rollie and Millie Lance King.
King moved to Linton five years ago from Union County. He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 and Townsend F. Dodd American Legion Post, both in Anna.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Everett King of Lansing, Mich., Mayes King of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Kay LaBaume of Linton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 11 a.m. to service time Monday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
