BERTRAND, Mo. -- Everett Cain, 76, of Bertrand died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born May 15, 1927, in Osceola, Ark., son of Clarence and Nanny Roberts Cain.

Cain had farmed and worked in construction.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Cain of Jacksonville, Fla., Roger Cain of Charleston, Mo., Michael Cain of Morehouse, Mo.; three daughters, Paula Jenkins of Dogwood, Mo., Geraldine Mansfield of Sikeston, Jeanie Cain of Charleston; a brother, J.C. Cain of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Rena Sills of Sikeston, Delia Laster of Bertrand, Imogene Fairhurst of Antioch, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Jon Archie officiating.

McMikle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
