SCOTT CITY -- Everett Eugene Biggs, 65, of Scott City died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 15, 1932, in Burkley, Ky., son of William Marion and Mary Isabelle Brock Biggs. He and Diane Marie Short were married Aug. 15, 1966, in Scott City.

Biggs was a driver with Black's Van Service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Biggs of Colorado Springs, Colo., Scott Biggs of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Anna Enderle and Marie Mirgaux of Scott City; two brothers, Jim Biggs of Des Arc, Robert Biggs of Scott City; five sisters, Laura Sturm, Edna Ramsey, Josephine Gray and Shirley Kinder, all of Scott City; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Neil Franks officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
