Everett E. Barks, 81, of Romeoville, Ill., died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas and Lillie Bollinger Barks. He and Lillian Iola Seabaugh were married 59 years.
Barks served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a retired electrician and a 50-year member of IBEW Local 701. He formerly lived in the Cape Girardeau area.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dianna Johnson of Cordova, Tenn.; two sons, Michael Barks of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dwayne Barks of Braidwood, Ill.; a sister, Goldie Statler of House Springs, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Chapel in Romeoville.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
