Evelyn Wiseman

Mary Evelyn Medling Wiseman, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 21, 2008, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 16, 1913, at Greenbriar, Mo., daughter of William and Flora Mae Stephens Medling. She and Bardis Wiseman were married Oct. 7, 1930, in New Madrid, Mo. He died April 7, 2002.

Wiseman was a top stitcher at Florsheim Shoe Factory.

Survivors include two sons, Don Wiseman of Cape Girardeau, Larry Wiseman of Granville, Ohio; two daughters, Mabel Smith of Scott City, Kay Gililand of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Veda Pryor of Anna, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, a sister and a grandson.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with Bryan McAlister officiating.

Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
