EVELYN V. BLATTEL

SCOTT CITY -- Evelyn V. Blattel, 73, of Scott City, died Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at her home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Scott City, daughter of Peter John and Bertha Rovena Westerhold Hoffman. She married Elmer P. Blattel April 25, 1937, in Illmo.

Blattel was a retired seamstress at Ely Walker here. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, its Ladies Sodality, and VFW Auxiliary 6407.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Prenger of Bonne Terre, Mary Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Bill Hoffman of Jonesboro, Ark.; two sisters, Irma Payne of Seiverville, Tenn., Addie Wilhelm of Scott City, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 4 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Roger Leveillee will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
