JACKSON -- Evelyn C. Turnbough, 79, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 31, 1921, at Crosstown, daughter of John and Dora Kistner Eichorn. She and Arthur "Art" Turnbough were married Oct. 8, 1940. He died Dec. 26, 1980.
Turnbough moved to Jackson in 1991 from Fruitland. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, Glen and James Turnbough of Jackson, Kenneth Turnbough of Perryville; five daughters, Janet Meyer, Mary Ann Zoellner and Bonnie Geringer of Perryville, Joyce Reimer of Chester, Ill., Carol Wahlers of Jackson; a brother, Ernst Eichorn of Belleville, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Friday at St. Paul Church after 9:30 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
