EVELYN SMITH

EAST PRAIRIE -- Evelyn Louise Smith, 39, of St. Louis, formerly of East Prairie and Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 6, 1959, at Sikeston, daughter of John Richard Smith and Jewell Evelyn Williams.

While living in East Prairie, she attended the First Church of God.

Survivors include her father; two brothers, Ralph LeRoy Smith of Cape Girardeau and Ricky Wayne Smith of St. Joseph; a sister, Loretta Sue Smith of Marble Hill; a maternal grandmother, Lorene Compass of East Prairie and a stepmother, Billie Jo Smith of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
