Evelyn Roth

FROHNA, Mo. -- Evelyn R. Roth, 87, of Frohna died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehab.

She was born June 13, 1921, at Altenburg, Mo., daughter of Carl and Agnes Hellwege Schuessler. She and Edgar W. Roth Sr. were married Jan. 31, 1943. He died July 2, 2003.

Roth was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League at Frohna.

Survivors include four sons, Edgar Roth Jr. of Windsor, Mo., Donald Roth of Perryville, Mo., Melvin Roth of Frohna, Terry Roth of Millersville; a daughter, Kathryn Haertling of Altenburg; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
